Connect HP Computers and ATE to Centronics Printers
Print text with practically any printer with a parallel interface; print graphics with any HP-compatible ink jet or laser printer. Plot graphs with any HP-compatible printer with Printer Command Language (PCL) Versions 5 or 6. MicroPlot 50A is transparent to your operating system and requires no software changes or additions. MicroPlot 50A is address selectable and can be configured for "Listen Only."MicroPlot 50A is a bidirectional converter which emulates an HP7440A plotter by sending back responses to plotter queries from ATE. Now, most test instruments that are designed for plotter output only, and expect 2-way plotter communication, can be used with HP LaserJet and DeskJet printers with PCL 5/6 which include LaserJet III or later and DeskJet 2250 and 2500C+ printers.		 MicroPlot 50A offers additional features. Variable Resolution allows you to automatically adjust the graphics image size when printing to HP DeskJets in portrait orientation and LaserJets in landscape orientations. Variable Resolution eliminates the problem of too-small or off-the-page graphics. Color Mode allows ATE color printing to most color DeskJets. Speed Mode allows most ATE designed to use HP PaintJets to work with color DeskJets. Data transfer rate is 20 KBytes/sec. Small and Easy to InstallMicroPlot 50A is only 5.75" X 3.6" X 1.1". It comes complete with a wall-mount power supply, manual, and 10' parallel cable. Connect an HP-IB cable to one end, a parallel cable to the other, plug it in, and you're ready to begin printing or plotting.
